和平与冲突研究中心（CPCS）派了两个代表团到朝鲜民主主义人民共和国，并定期与朝鲜组织------朝鲜半岛国家和平委员会（KNPC）交流。
《通过对话加强了解——朝鲜半岛争端的和平建设方法》 是一个基于CPCS的经历和书案研究的冲突分析，经常对朝鲜的非政府间国际组织和学者的访问支持了该报告。该报告中的分析提供了对使冲突更严重的关键因素一个更深的理解，以增进冲突方考虑摆在他们面前的更广范围的选择作为分析的结束。

Background
The Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPCS) has sent two delegations to the Democratic People’ s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and has regular exchanges with the Korean National Peace Committee (KNPC), a North Korean organization.
Strengthening Understanding through Dialogue: A Peacebuilding Approach to the Korean Peninsula Conflict is a conflict analysis based on CPCS ’ experiences and desk research and is supported by interviews with additional INGOs and academics who also regularly travel to the DPRK. The analysis seeks to provide a deeper understanding of the key factors fueling the conflict and concludes by promoting the consideration of a wider range of options available to the conflicting parties.
The Korean Peninsula Conflict has been ongoing for nearly 70 years, dividing a nation, separating families, and restricting freedom of movement and speech throughout the peninsula. It has also led to an arms race in the Northeast Asia region, which risks an outbreak of violent or nuclear conflict. The analysis demonstrates that through strengthening understanding of each others perspectives through dialogue and engagement, the parties can address the root causes of the conflict and begin building the relationships required to transform current tensions into sustainable, diplomatic relations.
